Scholar Alumni
To understand the value of the Richmond Scholars Program, look no further than the Class of 2009. Forty-five Richmond Scholars graduated in May, including the last classes of both University and CIGNA Scholars. Where were they headed? Georgetown Law, Harvard Law, Berkeley, Morehouse School of Medicine, the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, the London School of Economics, Ohio State University, and American University.
Those who weren’t going straight on to graduate school weren’t wasting time either. Students were packing their bags for the Peace Corps, World Teach, the Governor’s Fellows Program, Henrico County Public Schools, the Boston Consulting Group, and the White House.
Richmond Scholars benefit from the program’s close community while at Richmond, but even after they leave the University, the community remains. Richmond Scholar alumni, along with alumni who graduated under past scholarship designations, benefit from a worldwide network of UR alumni who share a deep commitment to the academic experience. If you’re a Richmond Scholar alum, submit an update or join the Richmond Scholar Alumni Facebook group to stay connected with both old and new Richmond Scholars.
