University of Richmond

Support the Program

One of the Richmond Scholar Program’s greatest rewards is that students become part of a community of scholars that extends far beyond the four years they spend on campus. Regardless of the decade in which you graduated, there are always ways for you to remain involved in the Richmond Scholars community.

Host a Scholar Event in Your Town

Whether you live far afield or in the University’s backyard, we’re always eager for current and former Richmond Scholars to welcome new Richmond Scholars to both the University and the scholar community. Consider hosting an event in your town to share your Richmond Scholar experience with new scholars and their parents. Contact the Scholars office for more details.

Help Conduct Regional Interviews

While all Richmond Scholar finalists will participate in an expenses-paid, on-campus scholarship interview, some students will also opt to participate in a regional admission interview. The Office of Admission works with alumni who live across the United States and beyond to coordinate these interviews. Applicants interview with alumni and get the chance to learn more about the University. Contact Maria Cedeno for more details.

Share a Job Opportunity with a Scholar

The University of Richmond recently launched an online career database called SpiderConnect, which pairs students and alumni with career opportunities. For alumni, the network is not only a great place to find jobs—it’s also the perfect place to share a professional opportunity with a current scholar.

Update Your Information

In addition to making sure that your information is up-to-date with the University’s Office of Alumni Relations, it’s important to stay in touch with the Richmond Scholars Program. Our goal is to help Richmond Scholars continue to come together academically, professionally, and personally—long after graduation day has come and gone. Be sure to submit an update from time to time and sign up for our Richmond Scholars e-newsletter, so we can send you updates on the program and your classmates as well.
