Hi prospective scholars! My name is Hoor and I am so excited to be a Richmond Scholars Ambassador this year. As a junior, I have experienced a lot of resources UR has to offer and am hoping to share some of that magic with everyone going through an undoubtedly stressful application process right now. Some of my favorite aspects of my UR experience have been researching new ADHD symptoms and ways to measure them in our Psychology labs, studying abroad in London for a semester, and student government in the capacity of a Senator for Financial Affairs my first year and Class President my second year. I also enjoyed a sophomore living learning program called Human Rights and Modern Day Slavery, multi-cultural clubs like UR Bollywood Jhatkas which is our Asian-fusion dance team, the South Asian Student Alliance, Muslim Life at UR, and Oliver Hill Scholars that aim to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts on-campus.

The Richmond Scholars program is so much more than just a full ride to college. Our community has given me some of my best friends and biggest cheerleaders whenever I am having ups and downs at college and the Scholars Office is a safe haven whenever I am out of snacks. I am so excited for the Class of 2026 and am here for you if you have any questions, concerns, or anxieties about the process. Good luck!
