Hi everyone! My name is Katie Baker, and I am a current sophomore at UR. The Richmond Scholars program has played a key role in shaping my college experience thus far, and I can't wait to share my favorite parts of the program and the university itself as one of your Scholar Ambassadors! On campus, I'm involved in art club, outdoors club, club swimming, and the Eco-Corridor task force. I also work as a student intern for the geography department in the Spatial Analysis Lab, and in my free time, you can find me hiking, baking, or practicing violin in the Modlin Center.

There are so many amazing ways to get involved at UR through community service, clubs, research, and internships, all of which provide opportunities to connect with students and faculty. The Richmond Scholars program extends these opportunities by fostering a close-knit community of creative innovators. Whether we're carving pumpkins, playing board games in the Scholar's lounge, or just talking about our diverse backgrounds and academic passions, we always find a way to uplift one another.

I can't wait to get to know you all, so feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, or just to talk about the Richmond Scholars program!
