Manny Valdez joined the Office of Scholars and Fellowships as Assistant Director for the Richmond Scholars Program in June 2023. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a concentration in secondary education. He recently graduated again from UNCG this past May 2023 with his Master of Education in Student Affairs Administration, with a concentration in Higher Education. Most of his professional experience has revolved around student development, leadership, programming, and one-on-one advising. Manny loves MARVEL and Disney movies. He also enjoys watching all kinds of sports (including soccer, baseball, basketball, and hockey), listening to music, being around nature, and exploring the city.
